Who We Are

A professional association dedicated to advancing the practice, development, and effective enforcement of intellectual property law in Nigeria.

The Association brings together legal practitioners, academics, policymakers, and industry experts committed to strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights across the country. Its members specialise in copyright, trade marks, patents, industrial designs, geographical indications and related rights, and the Association works to make IP protection accessible to the creators and innovators who drive the nation's creative and knowledge economy. Since its establishment, the Intellectual Property Lawyers Association of Nigeria has played a key role in promoting excellence in intellectual property jurisprudence through capacity building, continuing legal education, advocacy, policy engagement, research, and stakeholder collaboration. The Association serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and professional development, while also contributing to the improvement of Nigeria's intellectual property legal and regulatory framework.
